Over the past year, we’ve introduced quick possession homes into a handpicked group of Edmonton’s surrounding communities including Jensen Lakes in St. Albert, Southfort Meadows in Fort Saskatchewan, and the Estates at Waters Edge in Lac St. Anne. The response to these move-in-ready homes has been overwhelmingly positive, offering an ideal solution for buyers who want to bypass the longer build process and enjoy an Urbis home with all the decisions already made.

A New Hybrid Model

In addition to quick possession offerings, we’re excited to introduce a new hybrid model of our build process which follows a more templated approach. With this option, we’ve developed a selection of bulletproof floor plans that are ready to go should a client want to select their own lot and build with us.

Each floor plan has a carefully curated layout that reflects the best of our luxury design work. While the homes remain customizable in key areas—such as cabinetry and flooring selections—much of the design groundwork is already done, reducing the number of decisions homeowners need to make with their new home.

By offering pre-designed floor plans that have already been refined and perfected, we can streamline and speed up the building process, helping homeowners move into their dream homes sooner than ever before.

Holyrood: A New Approach in Action

A prime example of this evolution in our business is an upcoming project in Holyrood, set to break ground this month. With this home, we’re taking an existing floor plan previously developed for two mirrored homes in Pleasantview and using it as a template for a new client’s selected lot in Holyrood.

Having teenage children, this client has made some minor adjustments to the original floor plan to accommodate future needs as empty nesters, such as adding a main floor office that can be converted into a bedroom fit for aging in place. They also made personalized finishing selections, opting for an adjusted cabinetry layout and high-end features like hardwood flooring, intricate light fixtures, and beautiful porcelain tile.
