Home for the Holidays!
Happy Holidays from the Urbis team! We want to send warm holiday wishes to everyone who has supported us this year and we look forward to what’s to come in the new year.
If you have Ravine Drive East on the top of your wish list this year, we are still accepting requests for private tours over the holidays. It has never looked as beautiful as it does now, decked out in its festive finest! Contact us here to set up a personal showing. The trees are set, lights are strung and the stockings hung- all that’s needed is the perfect family to move in to place their presents under the tree!
This holiday season may be different than one we’ve ever experienced before, but regardless of the ups and downs this past year has brought, we’re determined to end this year spreading joy! One way to do this is to shop local as much as you can. One of the top benefits of infill is the ability to truly support your local community which, especially during this time of year, is essential. Local grocery stores and cafes rely on their neighbours for support.
Why not take advantage of this mild winter weather we have been having and head outside for a walk to check out all the different neighbourhoods where infills are popping up. Not only will you get to see some incredible architecture and design, but you may also discover some new small shops and restaurants to support!
Celebrating in-person with our family and friends may not be possible this year, but there are still ways to connect with loved ones during this lockdown. Here are some suggestions our team will be trying out!
- Organize a cookie exchange and coordinate front porch drop-offs. Find all the classic recipes here, or just deliver your favourite Duchess treats (we won’t tell!)
- Make a shared Spotify playlist to enjoy the same merry tunes at the same time. We have “Christmas Classics” on repeat!
- Host your ugly Christmas sweater competition virtually.
- Channel your inner elf and plan surprise drop-offs of gifts to loved ones! Open them live “together” virtually.
And while you’re staying safe at home, try out a new festive cocktail recipe that pairs perfectly with your Zoom celebrations! Our friends at Hansen Distillery are sharing some “to go” edition cocktail specials that we will definitely be trying.
